Lemon
Lemon juice is refreshing to drink. But that is not the only thing it can do. You can use lemon juice to clean your white shoes. Here’s how to do it. First, squeeze a lemon or two into a glass of water. Then, stir or shake it so the juice mixes together with water. When done, dip a sponge into the mixture. Next, wring the sponge out. After the sponge is wrung out, you can scrub your white shoes, especially on the stained areas. You can add more of the mixture as needed.

There is another step you can take to further clean your white shoes. However, this step should be done only if your shoes are made of fabric (canvas, for example). When you are done scrubbing your shoes, expose your shoes to sunlight for a few hours. This may bleach stains that have not yet been removed during the scrubbing process. Don’t do this if your shoes are made of leather since the process will only damage it.

Baking Soda
Baking soda can be used for various purposes. Including, cleaning white shoes. Start by mixing baking soda and water until a paste forms. After the paste is formed, spread it around the stained areas and leave it alone for a while. Let it dry. Once it dries, use a dry scrub brush to scrub the paste to your shoes. This will remove both the paste and the stains. In case the stains are not completely removed, you can add warm water to help remove them.

Toothpaste
The last example of home remedies for cleaning white shoes is toothpaste, particularly whitening toothpaste. Take a small amount of toothpaste and put it onto a toothbrush. Then, scrub the stained areas with it.When you are done, be sure to rinse your shoes thoroughly. In case you have leather shoes, use a soft cloth instead of a toothbrush.
