Poison Oak Plant
Poison oak, also known as western poison oak (Toxicodendron diversilobum) can trigger a rash for human skin that have been exposed to the leaves or stems of the plant. It is a woody vine or shrub and mostly found in North America. Its appearance can widely range a tall shrub to a treelike form and can grow high up to 100 ft. Poison oak leaves and stems are containing allergen called Urushiol.

Allergic Reaction
Allergic reaction that will emerge as a result for contact with poison oak is including rash, itching , dermatitis with inflammation, colorless bumps, severe itching, and blistering. If the contact happens through smoke inhalation which can be occurred when someone make a campfire using the branches or leaves of poison oak plant, the result would be more terrifying. The smoke could also poison people who thought they are immune.

- Remove your clothes that you wear during the contact
There is a big chance that the Urushiol oil leave the trace on your clothes, so it’s better to minimize the risk by remove  and wash it thoroughly.

- Wash your skin with soap
First thing you should do is to wash your skin area that have been exposed with large amount of water. You may want to use soap too and if the Urushiol oil haven’t penetrated into your skin, you may be able to get rid of it by washing it.

- Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera has been our favorite herbs to treat the skin. Its product can be found easily in the market everywhere. If you have aloe vera plant, you can also apply the leaf onto your skin. Its coolness can help us relief the symptoms.

- Use cold coffee
Coffee has an anti inflammatory agent called chlorogenic acid that can be useful to reduce the irritation. Make sure your coffee is cold enough to pour it onto your skin.

- Cucumber Slice
Cucumber is an established vitamin source for a food, but it also has a wonderful side function to treat the skin. Put some cucumber slice to the skin area to calm the itchiness or you may want to make cucumber pasta before apply it to the skin so it can thoroughly cover the affected area.

- Banana Peel
Rub the inside of banana peel and apply it to the affected skin. Although there is no scientific evidence to support the treatment, but many has claimed that the coolness of the banana peel can help reduce itch.

- Baking soda
Baking soda has its own reputation to solve some of our domestic problem at home. If the allergic cause a blister on your skin, you should try the baking soda paste. Mix 3 teaspoon baking soda and 1 teaspoon water. Apply the paste into the blister and let it dry. Let the paste flaking off and you can repeat the step 3 times in a day.

- Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar has proven itself to have so many useful effect to our body.  Soak yourself in a cool bath with small amount of apple cider vinegar in it. Many has reported positive effect of this apple cider vinegar as home remedies for poison oak.
